Flavour too strong
2I scrambled mine, they smelled amazing...unfortunately (for me anyway) the flavour was far to strong.

4Really had my doubts about this, but I was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. Added some mixed herbs to the mix and cooked it like an omelette.

5I cooked mine as scrambled egg and was really impressed, it looked like eggs, tasted like cheesey bacon eggs and was thoroughly enjoyed although It felt a little powdery on my teeth.

Decent!
4Smelled eggy, tasted kind of eggy, consistency was... not so eggy! (much less solid than eggs so scrambled was my only option!) Would try again with less water and maybe some sliced tomatoes or mushrooms to make it feel like a meal.

Cheese & Bacon Breakfast Eggs-Omelette
5Live in an area with very high levels of calcium in water. Always add 10-15% water to all meals and let rest a minimum of 2h up to 6h in fridge. This omelette (bacon?) becomes a beautiful soufflé omelette if well rested, fried on slightly less than medium heat and with a cover. Very little aftertaste. My omelette is fluffier than photo : )

Not eggs and bacon
1To be honest, these are quite horrible. Pretend egg, with the added horrible taste of bacon, from bacon crisps. Quite nasty. I’m sure we’d all be better off making scrambled eggs, unfortunately I bought three packets of these, and I couldn’t even finish her first, Ghastly, like most ( all) of the savoury dishes

Quite enjoy this
5I have just tried this product for the first time and I quite enjoyed it - especially as I was not sure what to expect. I prepared exactly as instructed and cooked on a pan like an omelette. I think there is a slight (processed) cheese smell but it is not offensive. The omelette turned out like a pancake, very light and fluffy and with an almost cakey/pancakey texture rather than an actual omelette or egg. I actually prefer this "pancake" to the maple syrup pancakes that Exante provide. The flavour is definitely more savoury, which is brilliant for those who do not have a sweet tooth but I wouldn't say it was either egg or bacon, it's just "savoury". I have read that others have put in different seasonings to spice up the flavour a bit but for me I can definitely enjoy this as it. Definitely recommend.

Needs a redo
3I remember the original Breakfast Eggs, plus the Cheese and Bacon version and neither tasted like this. This one more powdery than before and the flavour is a bit off. The first I made as per directions into scrambled egg and it had a weird taste. The second time I added a bit more water, some chopped fresh chili, loads of fresh chives and it was better, but still not fantastic. Back in the day there used to Exante burger mix and Exante breakfast sausage, both made from powder, and both a little bland on their own but fab if a few herbs and spices were added. To cook through they had to be fairly flat but I would do a packet of the Breakfast eggs and a packet of the Exante burger or sausage mix, throw in a few mushrooms and/or tomatoes for the non dieter at the table and it was very tasty weekend breakfast. Sad to see those three products have gone now and this replacement Breakfast Eggs is not as nice.

For a vlcd, this is pretty close to eggs!
4I quite like the eggs and bacon meal pack, i make it up as directed and use a good pan, i add in various herbs to spice it up, made this as a kind of omelette and as a scrambled style egg meal and its good. I dont much like most of the 'savoury' range, but id be seriously upset if they discontinued this one.

Cheese & Bacon Breakfast Eggs-Omelette e
5I had forgotten the photo on line so was unsure as how to fry this product, as scrambled or a fried egg. I ended up adding 1dl water, cooking as an omelette, low heat in Teflon pan, covered last minutes for an amazing fluff. Taste: impressed! First meal I did not add herbs or spices to. Lovely, will reorder.
