Not much flavour
2I found the pot to not have much flavour. I had high hopes for it so was disappointed. It left my tongue feeling a bit dry too. Even after adding some spices to try and make the flavours pop it wasn't really to my tastes so after a few mouthfuls I abandoned hope of finishing it.

Lifesavers...
4I currently live on these for work. So handy to pop in your bag and go! Especially if you want something hot! Daal is one of my favourite foods anyway so this was always going to be a winner for me. Flavour is mild... thought I’m sure you could add in your own spice if you wish. If you want something with more of a kick I recommend the Indian style curry! That’s my Saturday night go to- delicious and filling

Nice flavour balance for a VLCD pot meal
4I think one of the issues with the pots is the inclusion of soya, presumably to get the protein levels up. Dried soya is pretty chewy, even if you do leave it in hot water to steep for the recommended time. That said, this pot wasn't too bad - the lentils outweighed the soya on taste and there was a nice balance of spices. It's not 'spicy' (if some people are worried about that), it's just got a more interesting array of flavours that VLCD meals generally do. I added a little cracked black pepper and some chili flakes as I like more spice. All in all a convenient lunch-time pot.

Tasty and convenient
5Really yummy and so easy to make. You can add more spice to it for a change or add some chicken and make it more filling. A firm fav x

Quick and Tasty
5So easy and quick just boil the kettle, Great flavour but I like to add chilli flakes, pepper and fresh coriander if I have it. Nice texture and feel full afterwards. Always buy these.

Perfect for a quick meal
5Lovely flavour! Even better with extra chilli and garlic in! Just make sure it is thoroughly stirred before leaving to stand.

Love it!
5Love, love the Daal pots, this is another of my favourite product, I add some chilli flakes and some oxtail seasoning and I'm in Daal heaven. As I'm maintaining I sometimes have one for dinner maybe once or twice a week. My family loves it too. Never change this product! Love it!
