Spice is nice!
5I’m quite new to the range and this has been my favourite meal so far. I got this as part of the monthly bundle. I love spicy food, so I was excited that it actually had a little kick rather than being bland like most curry flavoured products. I know a lot of people said it was too spicy, but that’s what I really enjoyed about it! I am planning on buying a multipack when I reorder for my future meals, because I thought it was a great. Some people have mentioned a weird texture/more soup like? But I cooked mine for a little longer in the microwave and it thickened up. Felt like I was having a real meal, which would as refreshing after shakes all day. I also read a review previously that said about mixing it with spinach and Quorn, which I think was a great idea. :)

Tastes better than it looks!
4I like these curry sachets but they dont look very appetising once made up! More like a curry soup with a few lumps in so not as good a texture as the Indian daal pot meal you can get. Also I find it very salty which isnt a problem for me but might put some people off. Overall a good curry flavour.

Not bad, not great
2Very spicy, too spicy for me so might try it again with a bit of coconut milk mixed in. Tasted fine but very soupy making it to the recommended measurement. Won't buy it again myself.

This saved my diet
5As an Indian, I love flavoury food. I was on shakes and almost puked everyday for 4 days until I tasted this from Exante. I was on cambriedge diet 5 years ago and had successfully lost some good weight then, but they had no good variety. This time I wanted to try #Exante shakes, and unfortunately just strawberry and banana fiited my Indian taste buds, nothing else than the Indian style Dal pot and Indian style rice and curry. I had ordered a whole month’s diet and most are shakes, I puke everytime I gulb these shakes. But I guess I have no option to return the unused packets and exchange with Indian style food and stawberry and banana shakes for whole month and on. Sad for this part. This meal is a good to go and a life saver for people having flavoury taste buds.

Quite fine
3The meal is just too spicy, it contains way too much curry seasoning. Had to add more water to dilute the flavour. Otherwise good food. Added some vegetables too.

Add your own protein
3If you've got your 200 cals then this is where it needs to go. Mixing in chicken breast makes this a bit more edible Spicy enough but i added some more The size of the portion is pretty meagre but that seems to be consistent across the board

Awful!
1A lot of these reviewers say that they don't like this as it's too spicy. I love hot spicy food, but it has to have flavour. Sadly this has none, it tastes like a bowl of cardboard in sauce that someone has accidentally knocked a pot of fiery chilli powder into. I tried adding tomatoes and garlic to give it some flavour, but nothing I did made it palatable. Very disappointed. Remaining pack is going in the bin.

Gross!
1Would give 0 *s if I could. One of the worst things I've ever tried to eat. Runny and tasted like the spices hadn't been cooked. Went in the bin. (The daal pot is much nicer.)

Okay if you add your protein allowance
4On its own, this is not great. However as I had ordered a few of these I found it is best when it I add my 200 extra calories of protein (see tip below). I like spicy food, but I find this is a bit too spicy without accompaniments. My tip: I cook it in a saucepan with the water allowance and add spinach, and either cooked diced chicken or some cooked prawns/ It takes a little longer to cook through and sometimes may need a dash more water. I might also throw in a chopped spring onion if I have one. I usually eat it with accompaniments of diced cucumber and a few cherry tomatoes to cool it down. It is still spicy but not too spicy. I love coriander so I add that just as it comes off the heat. If I don't have any chicken or prawns, I find a hard boiled egg crumbled over the top works quite well. Small cubes of quorn or similar would probably be a good substitute for the meat/fish for vegetarians. I do miss the delicious Laska soup that used be on the Exante diet. That was a much better spicy Exante meal than this curry.
