Not Great
1I had high hopes for these pancakes but found cooking them as small thin ones or bigger ones made no difference. The bigger ones turned to a mushy dough, reminiscent of Pancake day as a child and the smaller ones burnt even on low heat. They have chemical taste. I only ate them cos I was so hungry which is probably why most peoeple eat any of the products. Had the usual wind and stomache afterwards which everyone doing this diet seem to be happy to put up with and feel a bit sick.

Nice breakfast
4So these taste like pankcakes and are a lovely breakfast although I'd say there more like crepes than American pancakes. The maple favour was only slightly there so i used the maple exante syrup to enhance the flavour.

Flat as a pancake
1I have yet to find a satisfactory way to cook these. They tend to turn into an unflippable mush, that has to be binned! Not using so much water, cooking them very, very slowly and making several scotch pancakes (rather than one or two large ones) seems to work best. I don’t find them filling and they don’t taste good to me. They are a pain the posterIa to prepare! After much experimenting I have found If I batch cook and mix several packs together (as each pack seems to cook differently) and freeze them, they are a handy sweet snack. I buy the monthly subscription box, which is excellent value plenty of bars and shakes and a good variety although a little light on the soups and savoury, the pancakes and all of the chocolate coated bars are the only disappointment. I am hoping to find a local fellow dieter to swap these with!

Pancakes?
3Now, it looks like a pancake. It has the same consistency of a pancake. It cooks like a pancake. But can I say it tastes like a pancake? Not really...sort of. My partner did a blind taste and thought he was eating ham and I had to agree even with a skinny maple syrup sauce. I think if the flavour was changed, it would be absolutely perfect. I think I'd still eat them tbh but with a different sauce to go with. Hoping the lemon pancakes are going to be a new favourite.

breakfast treat
4doesn't have quite the same texture as a pancake but the flavour is nice and you feel like it's a treat. I use a pan that doesn't need and fry spray.

Preparation is Key...
4The Maple Syrup pancakes are brilliant and taste just like regular American pancakes as long as you cook them carefully. I used a medium heat, non-stick pan, sprayed it with a low-cal cooking spray and made 4 small pancakes. They were perfect!

5I love these, in fact, I love all the pancakes. Such a quick and easy and satisfying way to start my day.

The best
5These are in my opinion I've of the best meals on exante. You can make one thick pancake or 3 smaller ones. You can add salt or Franks hot sauce or have it plane ..it can be a different meal every time. Always lovely and filling when eaten with a pint of water.

3Thesevwere kinda nice and kinda gross. Had more of a crepe like consistency as opposed to the American style photo.
