Mmm shepherds pie?
3I personally didn’t like the taste at all. Would not purchase again. I try add salt and even a oxo and a little more water but unfortunately couldn’t make it palatable 🤢

Never again
1Absolutely awful the flavour is revolting I gagged my whole way through. Do yourself a favour if new to exante try just one of these see if you like it don't get stuck with several you dread to eat like myself. ðŸ˜

Great winter warmer
5I actually really like this product, but it took a few tries to get it right, as is does have a bit of an off-putting gritty texture if you try to eat it too soon out of the microwave. My advice - add a little more water than the packet instructions suggest, and make sure that you leave it to stand for a good ten/fifteen minutes minimum after heating (preferably covered to keep the steam in) to make sure that all of the water is properly absorbed. It's really very nice, and has a satisfying savouriness that keeps the cravings at bay.

The smell was terrible
1Made this & had to throw it away without tasting it. The smell was revolting & sickly. I couldn't put it anywhere near my nose. Have you ever smelt a babies nappy when they have colic? Well that is what this reminds me of, only worse. YUK! My friend even remarked about it.

Filling
5This is one of my other favorites food. You can cook it a couple ways I add extra water and add spinach leaves to it. I've also microwaved it where it got real thick like a oatmeal and it was very very good very filling

An obituary to tastebuds everywhere
1Have you ever wanted to know what being a Victorian orphan would taste like? Have you ever said to yourself "please sir, this gruel is too palatable!". And do you long for the days when food was just any old slop someone scraped to you from a dirty bucket? If you hesitated on even one of those answers, then this is the meal for you! It has the thick, gritty texture that someone who has never eaten a real shepherds pie even a day in their life would expect with none of the actual meatiness of beef. It is grey, it is demoralising and it will make you question if 99p was really worth selling out all your principals. You can't technically say it's not food, but good lord has exant tried it's best to prove that wrong.

1Wish I'd read the reviews before ordering, had to throw it away. The taste and texture was not nice. Made me feel sick.

Shepherds pie
4I was quite impressed with the smell and taste of this product it’s quite lush, the texture is something to get used to hence 4 stars but I would definitely buy this again

Inedible
1I think Exante are excellent but this product is revolting so much so that I had to throw out the ones I had left. Really should be discontinued.
