Versatile Vegetable Soup
5Great if following the Exante 700 cal/day diet. I use the soup as a "sauce" for my selection of 100 calories worth of vegetables. Mix the soup as directed with the water from boiling the vegetables in (includes all the nutrients of the water which would otherwise be thrown away down the plug hole!) I enjoy the textures of the vegetables combined with the flavour of the soup and this is exceptionally satisfying! Enjoy!

Not to my taste
2The soup wasn't to my taste & I found it far too thick using the suggested amount of water. I found that topping it up with cold water not only enable me to drink it more quickly, it also made it easier to go down. I would not re-order this product as I prefer the shakes and bars.

Doesn't taste like diet food
5I had been on another VLCD which was effective but switched to Exante because it was less expensive, had more variety and the convenience of being able to purchase online without having to find time to meet face to face with a counselor. I bought only a few of these to try as I was a bit dubious about any diet meal being tasty (got used to bland or weird tasting meals from the previous diet) and have always been caught out by other reviews. I have to say that the reviews were right this time and I am very surprised at how tasty it was, really delicious, thick, creamy and actually taste a bit like veggie soup. I added more water as it was thick enough to take it without loosing the flavour. I am now off to stock up on some more now.

Almost Real
4This did come very very close to being like 'real' veggie soup. I stuck to the 200ml end of the scale, and it was normal soup consistency (so only go up to the 250 if you like it a bit thinner). Creamy, with wee chunks of vegetables in it, it really felt like a proper meal. Couple of flaws with it though. First, the lumps do not rehydrate that well, and dried-out peas aren't in my veggie top ten. I found it better to, after mixing, cover up for five minutes and let it rest, so the veg got time to soak and soften, but I do like a bit of bite so they weren't exactly mush after that. Secondly, there's no real punch to it. The flavour's nice, but it's still just bog standard vegetable soup (shock horror). I like some pepper, paprika, and star anais in there, leaves it with a slightly meaty kick that I adore. Think therein lies the beauty: it's so simple in itself, anyone with some condiments can tailor it to perfection.

4Maybe I didn't make it right taste ok, nice & filling thick & creamy however it little bits of veg was very hard still which was the only down side
